Police deny reports that they had searched homes of MH370 crew members

Federal police Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Hadi Ho Abdullah today denied that he had issued any press statements regarding the investigations on the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.

Hadi Ho said this is because the investigations are ongoing and it is confidential and therefore, any reports quoting him on MH370 is not true.

Earlier today, reports emerged that police had raided the homes of MH370's crew members and were investigating a passenger of Uighur descent.

Hadi Ho was quoted in Harian Metro as confirming that police were investigating a passenger of Uighur descent.

The Malay Mail Online expanded on the Harian Metro report and said that police had also searched the homes of the crew.

In a press conference earlier, the Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said Hadi Ho is leading the task force formed to investigate MH370's disappearance.

On Tuesday, Khalid said investigators were focusing on four main angles for MH370's disappearance.

"Sabotage, hijack, personal differences between the crew and passengers and psychological problems of the crew and passengers." Khalid said, listing the angles. – March 13, 2014.
