KEMAMAN, May 17 (Bernama) -- About 5,000 motorcyclists in Terengganu have
obtained the B2 licence via 10 programmes under the 1Community 1RTD programme
since its launch in 2009, said state road transport department (RTD) director
Abdul Rahman Emang Anyie.
He said, 500 more B2 licences would be issued in the state in July, as the
programme would be continued.
"We carried out the programme to get closer to the community where the B2
licence would be issued to those who are qualified.
"The basic requirements are that the participant does not have a licence and
should be over 40 years of age for Malays, and 21 for Orang Asli," he said.
Abdul Rahman was speaking to reporters when met during the ''Ops Director
Program'' at the Terengganu-Pahang border, involving 25 RTD officers and men here
today.
