    5TH ANNUAL BEST FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS AWARDS 2011 - MALAYSIAN WINNERS

    KUALA LUMPUR, 19 September 2011 (Bernama) -- The Hong-Kong based Alpha Southeast

    Asia magazine announced yesterday the Malaysian winners of its "5th Annual Best

    Financial Institutions Awards 2011". The Best Bank award and Best SME award went

    to Public Bank, for actively promoting loan products for the SME segment secured

    under the Credit Guarantee Corporation (CGC) Scheme.

    The awards were based on the bank's 2010 performance, award pitches as well as

    peer and customer surveys.

    Again, CIMB dominated the awards scooping up accolades for Best Investment Bank;

    Best Bond House; Best Equity House; Best Institutional Broker; Best Cash

    Management; Best FXs for Corporates & FIs; Best Private Wealth Management; Best

    Islamic Finance Bank as well as the special marquee award for Southeast Asia.

    HSBC proved worthy of the Best Foreign Bank award for Malaysia, Indonesia and

    Vietnam for ranking number one in profits before tax and total assets.
