Alfred Hui jokes about returning to dentistry
3 Apr – A lot of stars have tried pulling a prank on their fans on 1 April in celebration of April Fool's Day, but Alfred Hui was among the ones who was actually successful in his attempt.
As reported on Mingpao, the Hong Kong singer recently surprised many when he announced his wish to retire from showbiz and become a dentist instead.
The news started a series of supportive notes from friends and fans who tried to convince him to stay, to which Alfred finally replied through Weibo, "1 April – April Fool's Day. Although we should play a prank on each other, this year I have learned not to go too far."
"When I told my friends that I wanted to quit showbiz, they were worried and showed me a bunch of messages my fans left for me. I felt really bad after that. I am sorry, people! I definitely won't give my career up that easily!"
Meanwhile, Fahrenheit's Jiro Wang tried to pull a 'Wu Chun' and admitted that he has a five year-old son, but fans who are used to his pranks didn't fall for it one bit!
