Anigo: If I had to pick Drogba or Ibrahimovic, I'd pick Drogba

Olympique de Marseille sporting director Jose Anigo has stoked the fire ahead of the clash against fierce rivals Paris Saint-Germain by saying that he has not been impressed by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Anigo's side sit atop of the Ligue 1 standings with 18 points out of the 21 available so far, with les Parisiens a further three points adrift. The winner on Sunday would stay top of the standings after the eighth round of matches.

However, Anigo – who coached les Phoceens between 2001 and 2005 – guiding them to their last European final in 2004, played down Ibrahimovic's impact on French football, despite the Swedish star's goalscoring form in France.

"It is not as [if he is] the best the league has ever seen. We had [Enzo] Francescoli, [Dragan] Stojkovic, and [Didier] Drogba!" the 51-year-old told Sport365.

"If you give me the choice between Drogba and Zlatan, for many reasons, I [will pick] Didier, even at his age."

Marseille host PSG at the Stade Velodrome on Sunday, kick-off is at 21:00CET.
