    Arroyo mum on new graft raps

    Manila (Philippine Daily Inquirer/ANN) - Former Philippine president Gloria Arroyo arrived back in Manila Saturday morning but declined to answer questions about corruption and electoral fraud allegations against her.

    Arroyo and her husband Jose Miguel Arroyo arrived on board Royal Dutch Airline flight 803 from Amsterdam at 8:55am at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

    ¿We have a spokesman," said Arroyo when asked about the latest graft allegations against her involving the use of funds from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office for the Catholic bishops.

    The former First Gentleman also gave the same answer.

    The Senate has an ongoing investigation on bishops enjoying perks from the Arroyo administration, including luxury vehicles.
