Attorney-General heads list of FT day award recipients – Bernama

Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail heads the list of 356 recipients of awards, honours and medals for the 2015 Federal Territory Day today.

He received the Darjah Seri Utama Mahkota Wilayah (SUMW) which carries the title 'Datuk Seri Utama'.

Other recipient of the SUMW award was former Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Datuk Seri Utama Zulhasnan Rafique.

Fifteen individuals received the Darjah Seri Mahkota Wilayah (SMW) award, which carries the title 'Datuk Seri', namely Prime Minister's Department's Economic Planning Unit director-general Datuk Seri Dr Rahamat Bivi Yusof, Prime Minister's Department senior deputy secretary-general Datuk Seri Othman Mahmood, Human Resources Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Saripuddin Kassim, People's Progressive Party senior vice-president Datuk Seri Maglin Dennis Dcruz, former Deputy Home Minister Datuk Seri Wira Abu Seman Yusop, Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin Osman.

Forty-three individuals were honoured with Johan Mahkota Wilayah (JMW), while 69 others receive the Kesatria Mahkota Wilayah (KMW) medal.

Sixty individuals received the Ahli Mahkota Wilayah (AMW) medal, including three media practitioners, namely Sarawak Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) Bureau chief Abdul Aziz Harun, Putrajaya Utusan Melayu (M) Berhad bureau chief Norliza Abdul Rahman and Putrajaya The Star Publication bureau

chief Zuhrin Azam Ahmad, while 96 others received the Pangkuan Mahkota Wilayah (PPW) medal.

The investiture ceremony would be graced by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah at the Istana Negara in Kuala Lumpur later today.

The conferment of the Federal Territory awards, honours and medals which began in 2008 was aimed at appreciating and recognising the deeds, contribution and excellent services of Federal Territories citizens. – Bernama, February 1, 2015.
