JAIPUR: Days after parts of her face was bitten by her father in a fit of rage, the five-month-old baby succumbed to her injuries in a government hospital here on Wednesday.
The baby girl had undergone a face reconstruction surgery five days ago.
The police said that the father will be charged with murder.
Allegedly the father in a fit of rage had bitten off parts of her nose, lips and cheek in Bikaner last month.
The father was drunk when he reached his house and had a confrontation with his wife durring which bit part off the baby's face.
PTI had quoted a spokeperson of the hospital in which the baby was admitted, saying: "The condition of the baby deteriorated last night after she was breastfed by her mother. The milk entered into her lungs following which some complications developed and she was put on ventilator support but she died."
