Bangladesh PM's riverbank painting goes viral on Facebook

Dhaka, June 12 (ANI): Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's painting of a serene village beside a river has gone viral on Facebook. The painting, according to the bdnews24.com web site, depicts the Bangladesh countryside as it existed in 1994, when Sheikh Hasina was the Leader of Opposition in Parliament. The painting has reportedly been bought by State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid Bipu, and he decided to post the artwork on Facebook for countless people to share it with. Hasina studied Bangla literature at Dhaka University, and used to paint. Bipu was quoted by the web site, as saying that while he did not know whether Sheikh Hasina still paints, he did know that she has a huge collection of artworks. (ANI with inputs)
