    BANK ISLAM DONATES DEBIT CARDS WORTH RM400,000 TO PILGRIMS

    KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 8 (Bernama) -- Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd (Bank Islam) today

    donated welfare aid in the form of Bank Islam Debit-Cards-i worth RM400,000 and

    Islamic reading material valued at RM63,000 to the Pilgrim''s Fund Board.

    The donation was handed over by Bank Islam Managing Director Datuk Seri

    Zukri Samat to Minister in the Prime Minister''s Department Senator Major General

    (RTD) Datuk Seri Haji Jamil Khir Bin Baharom at the board headquarters in Kuala

    Lumpur here today.

    The bank, in a statement, said would-be pilgrims for the current haj season

    can apply for the debit cards before Oct 30 at special counters set up at Bank

    Islam branches nationwide.
