Arsene Wenger believes that Chelsea could cause an upset in the semi-finals of the Champions League by reaching the final of the competition at the expense of Barcelona.

The Arsenal boss feels that the Catalans are not on top of their game as the absence of David Villa is hurting their chances, while he also believes star player Lionel Messi is showing signs of fatigue.

"The Barcelona of now is not the Barcelona of last year. They miss David Villa, who is a goalscorer for them," Wenger was quoted as saying by The Independent.

"Lionel Messi looks a bit tired as well. Although he is still dangerous, he is not as sharp as he was.

"It is far from impossible for Chelsea. They go there off the back of a fantastic result [in the first leg], 1-0, and if they defend like they did at Stamford Bridge they have a chance."

Tuesday's second leg at Camp Nou kicks off at 20.45CET.
