Boca Juniors president Daniel Angelici has revealed that Barcelona are still interested in signing promising forward Sergio Araujo.

The 20-year-old was heavily linked with a move to the Blaugrana in the summer of 2011, but the transfer never materialised last year.

Nevertheless, Barcelona have not forgotten about Araujo as they continue to follow the Argentina Under-23 star's progress.

"They continue to be interested in Sergio Araujo, so I invited them to make an offer if they really want him," Angelici was quoted as saying by Sport.

Araujo is a product of the Boca youth academy, and made his official first-team debut in December 2009.
