Baselworld 2014: new watch honors Dior's original address

At Baselworld 2014, which takes place in the Swiss city from March 27 to April 3, Dior Horlogerie will unveil the Dior VIII Montaigne, named for the historic address of the couture house on the Avenue Montaigne in Paris.

The luxury brand is expanding its Dior VIII collection with a new watch honoring the Parisian avenue and the 18th-century aesthetic Christian Dior loved so well.

All in grey, the new timepiece has a polished stainless steel case and a matching bracelet. The Dior VIII Montaigne "Acier & Nacre" version features a steel bezel and a white mother-of-pearl dial adorned with a central ring with diamond inlay.

Options for evening and daytime wear

The new model will be available in several different versions, including day watches with 32mm or 36mm cases and an evening watch with a more discreet 25mm case.

Various straps and bracelets are also offered, in materials ranging from rose gold to alligator leather. Finally, Dior also invites watch lovers to choose between versions with or without diamond inlay and with or without an oscillating weight located to the side of the dial.

Regardless of the design chosen, all of the Dior VIII Montaigne watches are equipped with the same quartz movement showing hours and minutes.
