Bukit Bintang was chosen as an ideal site for the next Harrods Hotel development, said media reports.
In line with this, Qatar Holding LLC and Jerantas Sdn Bhd would be signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the said project, to be witnessed by Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Ismail, Corporate Representative of Jerantas and Hussain Ali Al-Abdulla, Vice-Chairman of Qatar Holding will attend the signing of the MoU.

Reports added that Qatar Holdings will embark on a joint venture with Tradewinds Corp Bhd (TCB) which holds the franchise for
Harrods retail stores.
Meanwhile, Harrods Residences is also said to be opening together with the Harrods Hotel.
"The Harrods Residences will be sold at a higher price than The Banyan Tree Residences," said the source.
Last September, former Kuala Lumpur mayor Tan Sri Ahmad Fuad revealed a proposal from three developers to build the Harrods Hotel. Ahmad Fuad identified a possible site for the hotel at a piece of land in Jalan Conlay adjacent to Restaurant Seri Melayu.
Aside from TCB and Qatar Holding, Datuk Desmond Lim is also said to have interest in the project. Both Lim and Qatar are major unitholders at the Pavilion Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs).
