Meet the U9 Series
Ninetology Marketing Sdn Bhd, an ASEAN mobile device technology company, makes its entry into the premium smartphone market with the launch of its U9 series smartphones. In the line-up is three models that goes by the name X1, Z1 and Z1+. According to the company, the new phones are targeted to the urban crowd and in an affordable price.
“We are currently these second largest in terms of mobile device market share in Malaysia. With the introduction of the U9 series, we hope to further strengthen Ninetology’s position as well as grab a sizeable share in the premium smartphone category through the urbanites. Additionally, this is just the beginning. In the near future, we plan to deliver various segments of smartphones with premium performance, tailored for the needs of various customers,” says Sean Ng, CEO of Ninetology Marketing Sdn Bhd.
Peeking inside the U9 series phones, there are Android 4.2 Jelly Bean inside and are powered by 1.2 GHz MediaTek MT6589 quad-core processors. Furthermore, the U9 series smartphones uses displays from 4.8 to 5.7in to cover different needs and these screens uses a Super AMOLED HD screen at 1280 x 720 resolutions.
As for its shooters, the X1 is equipped with a 13MP camera while the Z1 and Z1+ uses a 12MP camera. One of the camera feature that exists in all of these phone is ‘Dual Camera’ mode that allows simultaneous use of both front and rear shooters. All three has 16GB internal memory and 1GB of RAM in it with the X1 and Z1+ able to increase its storage up to 32GB via memory card.
“We begin with three models, emphasising on their respective styles to represent the spirit of U9 in this very launch. The creation of the U9 smartphone series began by focusing on the needs of the users, their demands and behaviours, the mobile device trends they favour, alongside the urban concept as the ultimate platform,” adds Ng.
The U9 smartphones will be available from mid of August onwards. The prices are as below:
