Bayer Leverkusen celebrate win by piling on top of mascot, who ends up losing a shoe

Bayer Leverkusen beat Schalke 1-0 on Saturday. This proved to be bad news for their mascot, Brain the Lion (who might have the greatest mascot name in the game today).

The players threw Brian to the ground and as he held on to his head to make sure it didn't pop off, he had water squirted in his lion face. And then came the pile. The players jumped on top of Brian, twisting his head around at an unnatural angle.

When Brian finally emerged from the pile, he resumed dancing, with one shoe off, as if his life didn't just flash before his giant plastic eyes.
