Mattia Destro is almost certain to join this Roma this summer, with both Siena and Genoa having signalled their intention to sell the forward to the Giallorossi should either club secure outright ownership of the player.
The 21-year-old is co-owned by the Bianconeri and the Rossoblu, who are currently locked in talks over his registration rights. However, regardless of the outcome of those talks, Destro seems bound for the Stadio Olimpico.
"There was a cordial meeting with Genoa, but no agreement has been reached," Siena chairman Massimo Mezzaroma told reporters on Wednesday afternoon. "But, as a Roman, I'd be happy if [Destro] went to Roma."
Meanwhile, Mezzaroma's Genoa counterpart, Enrico Preziosi, admitted that the Grifone are also keen to do business with the Giallorossi.
"Destro? I'll do anything not to give him to Roma! But all jokes aside, if the boy should return to Genoa, it's likely we'll sell him to Roma," he explained.
Destro, who was included in Italy's provisional squad for Euro 2012, netted 12 goals in 30 Serie A appearances for Siena last season.
