Korean squad announced for 2012 Olympics; Park Chu-Young in, Lee Jung-Soo out after Al Sadd denies request

Park Chu-Young will lead a squad of mostly internationally-based team-mates to the 2012 London Olympics, the Korean Football Association (KFA) announced on Friday.

Contrary to widespread reports in Korean media that declared Lee Jung-Soo as part of the team, the defender's Qatari club Al Sadd appear to have blocked his selection and forced the KFA to replace the veteran with Busan I'Park defender Kim Chang-Soo.

A majority of coach Hong Myung-Bo's squad are based overseas, with six players hailing from the J-League and four more active in Europe.

South Korea will play Mexico, Gabon, and Switzerland in Group B beginning on July 26.
