KUALA LUMPUR, July 17 (Bernama) -- The Sultan of Negara Brunei Darussalam, His
Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, has conferred the
Darjah Paduka Seri Laila Jasa to PETRONAS’ President & Chief Executive Officer
Tan Sri Dato’ Shamsul Azhar Abbas and PETRONAS’ Executive Vice President of
Exploration & Production Business Dato’ Wee Yiau Hin.
The conferment of the award, which carries the title of “Dato Seri Laila Jasa”,
was held in Brunei on 15 July 2012, in conjunction with His Majesty the Sultan’s
66th birthday.
PETRONAS is represented in Brunei through its upstream subsidiary PETRONAS
Carigali Brunei Ltd, the operator of the deepwater exploration Block CA2 and a
partner in deepwater Block CA1.
PETRONAS is also evaluating other potential exploration and downstream
opportunities in line with Brunei’s aspiration to further develop its oil and
gas sector.
