Silvano Martina, the agent of Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, has insisted that the Turin giants have yet to offer the experienced glovesman a new contract.
The 34-year-old's deal at present is due to expire in the summer of 2013, but the Old Lady are believed to be desperate to retain Buffon beyond his current agreement.
Nevertheless, Martina has made it clear that both parties have yet to open discussions about an extension.
"A contract renewal for Buffon? At the moment, we have not yet spoken with the club about this subject," the shot-stopper's representative said to Calciomercatoweb.
Buffon, who has made over 100 international appearances for Italy, joined Juventus from Parma in the summer of 2001 for €32.6 million and remains the most expensive goalkeeper in the world. He has played over 360 matches in all competitions for the Bianconeri.
