CECO Strobic Air Adds Mono-Stack Fan to Exhaust Fume

Strobic Air, a subsidiary of CECO Environmental Corp. (CECE) and a leader in air movement industry, recently unveiled a new technology that extends its exhaust fume systems to include the novel Mono-Stack fan.

This Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) company expects the Mono-Stack fan to be significantly beneficial in expanding its product portfolio in high-potential domains like diesel generation, gas processing and small laboratory requirements. However, the news, coming on Sep 19 did not provide impetus to the stock. Shares closed the session at $13.88, down 1.6% from the previous day.

The fan has been incorporated with an advanced nozzle design for efficient exhaustion. Apart from this, it has been designed with high speed plume dispersion ability to allow the desired pollution and odor control. Moreover, the fan is useful for preventing re-entrainment and optimizes energy recovery.

The new product is expected to be useful for both government and private facilities in diverse markets, especially in chemical, pharmaceutical and wastewater treatment industries and even in universities and public health facilities.

CECO Environmental is one of the prominent pollution control companies. Nevertheless, one may consider better-ranked stocks in the sector like Sharps Compliance Corp. (SMED), Nordson Corporation (NDSN) and IDEX Corporation (IEX), each holding a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).
