Chastain joins "Huntsman" spinoff

25 Feb – Two-time Academy Award nominee, Jessica Chastain has closed the deal to join Universal's "Snow White and the Huntsman" spinoff.

According to ComingSoon.net, Chastain's role for the film has not been revealed yet, but she will be joining "Into the Woods" star, Emily Blunt who has been recently announced to play one of the villains of the film.

Both Blunt and Chastain will be starring along Chris Hemsworth who played the Huntsman and Charlize Theron as Ravenna in "Snow White and the Huntsman".

Nick Frost who played the dwarf name Nion, will also be returning to reprise his role.

The most notable absence from the movie however is Kristen Stewart's Snow White, who may not be part of the new story at all.

A few details of the film's plot have been revealed where part of the story is about how the fates of two characters; the Huntsman, Eric and Ravenna intersected before they met Snow White.

The upcoming untitled film is scheduled to be released on 22 April, 2016.

Chastain can be seen next in Guillermo del Toro's "Crimson Peak" and Ridley Scott's "The Martian."
