KOTA KINABALU, July 20 (Bernama)-- Civil servants have been asked to be
alert in protecting the government official secrets as there were still some
weaknesses in the security system, said Government Security Director-General
Datuk Johari Jamaluddin.
"We need cooperation from all levels of civil servants and not to depend on
a single individual in protecting government secrets and we will make this as
the main agenda in every meeting to adhere on security," he said.
He was speaking to reporters after presenting a speech to 500 civil
servants, who attended the Protecting Security Together Talk, at the federal
auditorium complex, Likas here.
Johari also encouraged civil servants and the private sector to understand
the Security Act in efforts to protect government secret.
