KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 29 (Bernama) -- Kuala Lumpur-based regional hospital
operator Columbia Asia Group today officially opened its latest RM60 million
Columbia Asia Hospital in Cheras.
Its general manager, Alexandra Chong, said the hospital was designed to meet
the needs of the people in Cheras and its surrounding suburb.
In a statement here today, she said residents would have access to
physicians, cardiologists, orthopedic surgeons, pediatricians, obstetricians and
gynecologists, and other specialist doctors.
The latest hospital is the ninth Columbia Asia community hospital in
the country after Shah Alam (two), one each in Miri and Bintulu (Sarawak),
Seremban, Taiping, Puchong and Nusajaya (Johor).
The group plans to open two more, namely in Setapak and Setiawan, which are
expected to be operational by end of the year.
Chong said the Cheras-based hospital was equipped with up-to-date medical
technology and operated on its own paperless healthcare information system to
provide the best medical care.
Among others, the medical imaging services include MRI, CT scan,
mammography, X-ray and ultrasound.
