COUPLE, TEENAGER DETAINED FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING

SHAH ALAM, July 30 (Bernama) -- A married couple and a teenager were

detained in a raid at a house in Taman Bukit Pandan, Ampang near here last

Friday for alleged drug trafficking.

Selangor police chief Datuk Tun Hisan Tun Hamzah said police also seized two

''Smith & Wesson'' revolvers with 40 round of ammunition and a plastic packet,

believed to contain 134gm of heroin, in the raid conducted about 4.30pm.

Police also found 10 machetes and several tools, believed used to pack

drugs, in the house, he told a media conference here today.

He said the couple, aged 28 and 27, and the male youth, all with no previous

record, would be in remand until Aug 3 to facilitate police investigation.
