TEMERLOH, 7 Julai (Bernama) -- Cyclist Rosnina Anak Minggu won a Gold medal
for Sarawak in the Women''s Mountain Bike (MBT) Cross Country event at the
Malaysia Games (Sukma) today on her 16th birthday.
She clocked one hour 18 minutes and six seconds in four rounds covering
4.05km at Sri Tualang here.
The Silver went to Kedah''s Mardiana Mohd Radzi with a time of 1:19:33s while
the Bronze, to Sabah''s Natashya Soon with a time of 1:21:04s.
"It is my birthday today and the gold is a meaningful present indeed for me
as the hilly path here is slippery and wet and more challenging.
"In the second round my shoe came off and I was panicking but fortunately I
was in the lead," she told Bernama.

Rosnina wants to join the Bukit Jalil Sports School as she aspires to be the
country''s best woman cyclist in future.
Sarawak earlier collected a Gold medal from the MTB Cross Country men''s
category through Addy Ammin Shahriman Othman.
Sarawak cycling coach, Dzulkaflee Hassan was obviously satisfied with the
duo''s achievement, saying the six-month preparation had not been in vain.
