KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 (Bernama) - Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) received
many applications from the Indian community wishing to occupy units under
People''s Housing Programme (PPR).
Deputy Minister of Federal Territories and Urban Wellbeing Datuk M.Saravanan
said applicants have to be patient as each application must be studied to ensure
that only those eligible are picked for PPR units.
"Each application will take time because the number of PPR units are
limited," he told reporters after presenting PPR unit offer letters to eight
Indian families here today.
Saravanan said the offers were given as they were found to be eligible for
PPR units based on monthly income, number of family members and economic level.
"Those who have submitted applications since four years ago will get to
occupy PPR units in Kepong."
Applicants picked to occupy PPR units will have to pay rent of RM124 per
