If he doesn't play, Park Chu-Young will leave Arsenal in the summer - agent

Arsenal striker Park Chu-Young will seek a summer move away from the Emirates if he continues to be frozen out of the first-team squad, according to his agent.

Park arrived last summer for a fee thought to be around £2 million (€2.2m) from relegated French side Monaco but the South Korean captain has played just six minutes of Premier League football since the move.

Park had recently declared he would not be leaving the Emirates as he continued to fight for a place in the Arsenal attack but the quotes of his agent appear to represent a change of heart, with the former FC Seoul man becoming increasingly disillusioned with life in London.

"If the current state continues, we will have to look at the transfer market in the summer,” his representative told Sport Seoul.

January saw the striker linked with various loan moves including fellower Londoners, Fulham, however, the player's agent has claimed such rumours are untrue.

He continued: "In the English media, it was reported that Arsenal had rejected a loan offer for Park.

"However, this was in contrast to what we heard from Arsenal. There was no loan offer during the transfer window."
