Emre Belozoglu has revealed that he has settled in well at Atletico Madrid and is looking forward to the 2012-13 campaign.

The experienced Turkish midfielder moved to the Spanish capital from Fenerbahce this summer, and has admitted that he feels right at home at the Vicente Calderon.

“Since I signed for Atletico I have been very happy. I've been here for three or four weeks and I'm happy,” the 31-year-old told AS.

“All the players respect each other and are all friends. My first feeling was good. I've been here 20 days and it feels like it could have been three years. I hope that the first impression of me has also been good.”

Emre went on to state that Los Colchoneros are ready to challenge Barcelona and Real Madrid at the top of the Primera Division, and he is looking forward to his first game for the club.

“Madrid and Barcelona are very strong. But Atletico have big players and a coach who does not like losing. Tactically we're good.

“If we work together we can fight with them in the best league in the world.

“I hope the Vicente Calderon fans’ first impression of me is good. I hope people like me because I am working to give everything for this club.

“Arda Turan told me that this side are special and I know that it is not similar to any club that I have played for,” the ex-Inter man concluded.
