KUALA LUMPUR, May 30 (Bernama) -- Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL), the KL

Sentral-Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) high-speed train service

operator, will be mounting its KLIA Transit services starting June 18 due to

high demand.

ERL will provide three train services per hour compared with two currently

and the train services would depart at 20-minute intervals during the peak hours

compared with 30-minute currently, said ERL executive chairman Datuk Seri Mohd

Nadzmi Mohd Salleh.

"The increased KLIA Transit services is to meet the demand of the high

ridership at ERL''s Bandar Tasik Selatan, Putrajaya and Cyberjaya stations,"

he told reporters after attending ERL''s 10th year anniversary celebration at KL

Sentral here today.

To commemorate the anniversary, Mohd Nadzmi said that ERL would be offering

a three-month special promotion for passengers from next month.

Customers who purchase the KLIA Ekpress Adult return trip ticket during the

campaign would be entitled to shopping discount vouchers worth RM10 at selected

outlets at KLIA and RM5 rebate vouchers for taxi or parking at KL Sentral.

He said the offers to commemorate ERL''s 10th year anniversary were made

possible through collaborations with duty-free airport retailer Malaysia

Airports Niaga, taxi operator at KL Sentral Puncak Holdings Sdn Bhd and Metro

Parking (M) Sdn Bhd, which manages the KL Sentral car park.
