Eva Herzigová says motherhood is “hard, but it’s best the job in the world”.
The supermodel has two sons with boyfriend Gregorio Marsiaj, George, five, and Philip, 15 months.
The fashion icon loves being a mother, but it can be bittersweet.
“Being a mother is a hard job, but it’s the best in the world. Every day is something new and great,” she told Amuse magazine. “George is at a wonderful age. He’s in love with his teacher. He’s already trying to find out how I’m going to feel about it when he leaves home. He’s like, ‘Mum, I’m going to marry and leave the house and have a family and are you going to miss me? How sad will you be?’ It’s a taste of what is to come,’’
Eva also spoke about her own childhood.
Growing up in communist Czechoslovakia, the catwalk queen explained that her youth was filled with simple, but happy experiences.
“I had the best childhood because it was real. I spent a lot of time with my parents. They didn’t want to be part of the Communist Party so we had no advantages; none. Our only extravagance was sports and nature,” she said.
