KOTA BAHARU, Feb 8 (Bernama) -- An exhibition featuring 1,000 Kelantan
traditional weapons to be held at the State Museum in June, will go into the
Malaysia Book of Records.
Kelantan State Museum Corporation director, Abdul Rahman Abdullah said the
one-week exhibition, organised by the corporation in collaboration with the
Kelantan Historical and Ancient Arts Heritage Association (Purba), was expected
to draw 10,000 visitors in conjunction with Visit Kelantan Year 2012.
Abdul Rahman had earlier closed the Chinese Cultural Heritage Exhibition,
here, today.
He said the weapons exhibition would be among seven programmes organised by
the corporation for this year to attract more visitors to Kelantan.
Among the exhibits will be the "seligi", made from sharpened "nibong" to
fight the enemy in the olden days.
Abdul Rahman urged history buffs and antique collectors with old, relevant
artefacts to participate in the exhibition.
