Filmmaker's take on breach

PETALING JAYA: During the press conference at PKR headquarters yesterday, filmmaker Benji Lim caused a commotion when he questioned both Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Azmin Ali on how they controlled the crowd at the Bersih rally.

Standing at the back of the room, Lim got up and shouted at Anwar: "There was no leadership and no crowd control. It was completely hijacked by the Opposition.

"What do you mean that you did not instigate the crowd? I was there. When the barricades were broken, it was like a stampede. People could have been killed when they tried to cross into Dataran Merdeka and you are condoning what the crowd did."

Anwar tried to pacify Lim by saying it was a press conference and that Lim could have a quiet word with the PKR leaders afterthat.

"No, I have to a right to know now why you are saying that PKR did not instigate the crowd. I am also a citizen," Lim said as PKR staff tried to calm him down.
