The final trailer for the grand finale Transformers: Dark of the Moon was released June 27, just a day before midnight screenings on June 29.
Directed by Michael Bay, this version of the trailer shows even more of the action-packed spectacle of mass destruction.
By contrast, the music video of Linkin Park's "Iridescent" single, from the motion picture soundtrack, incorporates footage from Transformers 3 bathed in black and white and using slow motion.
The film's storyline reveals what happens when the Autobots discover a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the Moon and a race ensues against the Decepticons to reach it and uncover its secrets. But when the Transformers can't save the planet, it's left in the hands of humans.
Shia LaBeouf returns with John Turturro, Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson. New to this last installment are model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Patrick Dempsey (Valentine's Day), John Malkovich (RED), Frances McDormand (Burn After Reading), and the voice of Leonard Nimoy (Mr. Spock of Star Trek).
Transformers: Dark of the Moon opens in 3D on June 29 worldwide and July 29 in Japan. Three hours before the official launch of the film, special 3D and IMAX screenings will debut the film on June 28 at 9 pm.
