GE to Launch New 3U Distribution Panel for Data Center

Diversified business conglomerate General Electric Company (GE) recently announced the launch of a new 3U Distribution Panel for data center power cabinet applications. The new distribution panel features a compact design and is meant to serve as a secondary power distribution center for data centers.

The 3U Distribution Panel features both fuse and circuit breaker monitoring options using the digital smart meter technology. Additionally, the 3U Distribution Panel generates alarms for power loss and low-voltage and power-overload conditions. Customers in data centers and other industries depend on General Electric to provide reliable and energy-efficient power distribution systems to keep networks flowing.

The 3U panel combines with General Electric's Galaxy Millennium II Controller to provide better control and access in an integrated setup. The new product is expected to make DC plant operations and maintenance more efficient and is a yet another valuable addition to General Electric's Critical Power business.
