"Gone with the Bullets" faces new censorship issue

9 Dec – The highly anticipated follow-up to Jiang Wen's "Let the Bullet's Fly" (2010), "Gone with the Bullets" had recently cancelled its premiere screening in Beijing due to censorship issues.

As reported on Film Business Asia, its producer, Ma Ke, explained to the media recently that the world premiere and press conference have been postponed for "reason[s] that everybody knows".

It was revealed that the issue occurred as the director was unyielding about editing the movie according to the newly revised censorship's rules.

The 3-D film's premiere was originally set to be held at the Beijing University of Technology's gymnasium.

However, Ma assured that the movie's release date of 18 December will not be affected, though there is no news for the new date for the movie's world premiere.

Starring Jiang Wen, Ge You, Zhou Yun and Shu Qi, the movie revolves around a beauty pageant set in 1920s Shanghai.
