"Guardians" tops U.S. for the fifth time

9 Sep – With "Guardians of the Galaxy" still reigning over the U.S. weekend box office from 4 to 7 September 2014, the first place for Malaysia and Singapore's box office goes to "Lucy" and "Step Up: All In" respectively.

In U.S., "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" has been moving up and down the weekend box office chart for the seventh week now, with the "Guardians" taking the lead for the fifth time, collecting USD 10.3 million in the past week, while "Ninja Turtles" came in at second with over USD 6.5 million.

Meanwhile, the Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans, Jr. comedy film, "Let's Be Cops" took the third place with a decent amount of over USD 5.5 million.

However, Malaysia is still bewitched under the beauty and charm of the Scarlett Johansson starrer, "Lucy" as the movie has conquered Malaysia's weekend box office chart for the third time now.

Moving on, Gidden's Ko latest film, following "You Are The Apple Of My Eyes"; "Café Waiting Love" moved from third place to second for last weekend's box office chart of Malaysia while the current third place goes to the new American horror flick, "As Above, So Below".

In Singapore, the fifth instalment of the "Step Up" franchise, "Step Up: All In" took over the weekend box office chart in its opening week. The second and third place went to Disney's "Planes: Fire & Rescue" and "Lucy" respectively.
