KUALA LUMPUR, June 27 (Bernama) -- The High Court here today ordered former
television personality Ras Adiba Mohd Radzi to file her statement of defence
regarding the RM3.2 million suit filed against her by a company director, Nik
Fauzi Nik Hussein, before July 6.
Senior Assistant Registrar Aaziha Mujahid Lee set the date in chambers in
the presence of lawyer Datuk Mohd Haziq Pillay, who represented Ras Adiba, and
Mohammad Shafie Afendi, who represented Nik Fauzi.
Speaking to reporters, Mohd Haziq said the defence needed more time to file
their statement of defence as they had to refer to the company''s contract with
Petronas.
Nik Fauzi, the director of Inki Plas Holding Sdn Bhd, filed the writ of
summons on May 3 and in his statement of claim, said that he held 65 per cent
shares in the company and had agreed the entire portion to Ras Adiba.
He said on July 24, he and Ras Adiba sealed a share sale agreement, which
was stamped on Aug 2, 2006.

He claimed that Ras Adiba had the authority and control over the structuring
of the company, which was the basis for her to buy the shares.
Nik Fauzi, however, also claimed that Ras Adiba had neglected and failed to
help reinforce the company causing it to face financial difficulties.
He further claimed Ras Adiba should have settled the company''s liabilities
totaling RM3.2 million but failed to do so.
Apart from compensation of RM3,288,172, Nik FAuzi is seeking a declaration
that Ras Adiba had breached the share sale agreement dated July 24, 2006,
interest at four per cent per annum, costs and other relief.
