Iconic 'Ghalib ki Haveli' shown first time in new movie 'Naya Pata'

New Delhi, June 21 (ANI): The famous historic residence of the 19th century Urdu poet, Mirza Ghalib in Old Delhi has been shot for the first time ever in the history of cinema in an upcoming movie 'Naya Pata'. One of the tracks from the soon to be released crowd funded film was shot at the iconic 'Ghalib ki Haveli'. Pawan Shrivastava, director, said "The song which has been filmed in the haveli talks about searching for one's identity. And just like the protagonist, in his day, Ghalib too was on the quest of finding his own identity. Moving from one place to another, throughout his life, he finally settled in Old Delhi." "This fact seemed very close to what the protagonist felt and hence, we decided to shoot the song at this legendary location", he added. Set in the late 1980s, 'Naya Pata' follows Ram Swarath Dubey, the protagonist, and his struggle to re-establish his lost identity after losing his job due to the shutting down of the sugar industry in Bihar.
