KUALA LUMPUR, July 12 (Bernama) -- Inokom Corporation Sdn Bhd has opened a
new chapter with the official launch by Chairperson Datuk Kalsom Abd. Rahman of
Inokom Vendors Park (IVP) in Padang Serai, Kulim today.
The IVP houses Inokom''s current vendors just next door to Inokom''s existing
manufacturing facility with a land area of about 2.8 ha.
The 1,300 sq m first plant launched today will house the APM Module Systems
which consists of the Auto Part Manufacturers Co Sdn Bhd (Seat Divison), APM
Plastics Sdn Bhd and APM Automotive Modules Sdn Bhd.
"The IVP will be a catalyst to the vendors by not only saving transportation
costs but also supplier lead time for local parts with components of the main
parts brought in directly via Penang Port.
"Coupled with Just-In-Time (JIT) practices, the IVP will also reduce the
need for storage at the Inokom manufacturing plant.
"We believe IVP is a sustainable way of doing business for us and for our
vendors," Syed Mudzhar Syed Ali, Inokom Corporation Chief Executive Officer,
said in a statement today.
