Inter president Massimo Moratti has claimed that his side could decide who wins the Serie A title when they face arch-rivals AC Milan on Sunday.
After Juventus' 1-1 draw with Lecce on Wednesday, just one point separates the Bianconeri and the Rossoneri at the top of the table.
However, should the Nerazzurri triumph in the Milan derby and Juventus beat Cagliari on Sunday, the Turin club will be crowned champions for the first time since their controversial relegation in 2006.
"This season, it looks like we'll have to do a favour for one of them," Moratti noted according to Corriere dello Sport.
"Which would be better? I don't really know, it would be the same."
Wednesday's defeat at the hands of Parma left Inter three points adrift of the final Champions League place with two games remaining, but Moratti refused to rule out a top-three finish.
"Is our Champions League dream over? You never know with this championship. We certainly didn't help ourselves on Wednesday night.
"We did well in the first half at Parma, but if you make mistakes, then you run the risk of losing.
"Now we will face the derby with the same spirit as always. It's a unique game and we won't be favourites."
Inter's encounter with Milan on Sunday kicks off at 20.45CET.
