Javier Bardem villain of "Pirates 5"

15 Oct – Oscar–winning Spanish actor Javier Bardem who is known for his many villainous roles in box office movies such as "Skyfall" and "No Country for Old Men", is in negotiations to play the role of the villain in the upcoming "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales".

According The Wrap, previously, there has been rumours that Christoph Waltz ("Inglourious Basterds") will play the villain, but now it seems that Bardem has got the offer and is in talks to take on the part of the main antagonist, Captain Brand, a ghost seeking vengeance against Captain Jack Sparrow, who is responsible for the murder of Brand's brother.

The fifth "Pirates' movie continues the story from "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" where Barden's real-life wife, Penelope Cruz, the main female lead of the film, is expected to reprise her role as Angelica in "Pirates of the Caribbean 5".

Geoffrey Rush is also expected to return as Barbossa in the fifth film which will probably include other cast such as Ian McShane and Stephen Graham. It is also hinted that Orlando Bloom and Keith Richard will making a cameo appearance in the upcoming film, The Wrap reports.

"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" will be directed by Norwegian directors Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg with Jerry Bruckheimer producing the film.

The film is scheduled for a release in 7 July 2017 in the U.S.
