Joe Allen has stated that the pull of working under Brendan Rodgers played a massive part in his move to Liverpool.
The midfielder was reunited with the Northern Irishman as he became the latest addition to the Anfield club's ranks last week with a £15 million move from Swansea City and is expecting Reds fans to love the club's new style of play.
"Obviously Brendan being here was a massive pull for me," he told Goal.com.
"His whole footballing philosophy and the fantastic two years I had under him at Swansea will I'm sure be great with me making the transition and I'm raring to get started," he added.

"It's based around a passing style of football which I'm sure these fantastic supporters will love. You look at the world class talent that's in that dressing room and I'm sure it'll only get the best out of them."
Allen spent two years under Rodgers' guidance at the Liberty Stadium and fully expects fierce competition for places on Merseyside, even for a spot among the substitutes.
"There's quality players throughout the squad and there's going to be competition for every single place in that starting XI - even to get on the bench.
"Everyone will have their work cut out and everyone will have to make sure that they work day in, day out to the best of their abilities to compete for those places."
Allen has endured a gruelling playing schedule since helping Swansea record a respectable finish in their debut Premier League season and will follow up his appearance for Team GB at the Olympics by representing Wales in their friendly with Bosnia-Herzegovina on Wednesday.
But the 22-year-old feels that playing in Stuart Pearce's side at the London games served as the ideal preparation for the new campaign as he attempts to establish himself at Anfield.
"It was an incredible experience. To play that level of football going into a season is going to be perfect I think for me," admitted Allen.
"Hopefully it will help with me coming here and hitting the ground running."
