Jordi Alba asks Javi Martinez to join Barcelona players in Olympic photo

Jordi Alba has increased speculation over the future of Javi Martinez at Athletic Bilbao by cheekily asking his Spain team-mate to stand alongside the Barcelona players for their official Olympic Games photo.

Martinez has been heavily linked with a move to Camp Nou but the €40m price tag slapped on him by his club has so far deterred the Catalan giants from making their interest any more formal.

But as the Rojita squad organised themselves for a team photograph ahead of the Olympics, Alba amused himself by encouraging the versatile midfielder to join the Barca contingent.

"Javi, you here, with us, with the Barca players," Alba was heard saying according to Goal.com Spain.

In attempt to force his point home the recent Blaugrana acquisition repeated his comment, ensuring the joke was heard and making his intentions known.

Martinez has also been speculatively linked with Bayern Munich as well as Premier League duo Manchester United and their arch-rivals Manchester City.

Following the withdrawal of Thiago Alcantara from the Spain Olympic team, Cristian Tello and Martin Montoya are the only other players to represent Barcelona in the squad.
