    KAZAKHSTAN YACHT ON WORLD EXPEDITION TO STOPOVER IN MALAYSIA

    KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 8 (Bernama) -- Shokan Valikhanov, a yacht from Kazakhstan

    on its first sailing expedition around the world is expected to arrive in Port

    Klang this Sunday (Feb 12).

    According to the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the expedition is

    organised by the Central Asian Geographic Society with support from the

    Kazakhstan Association KAZENERGY and oil company "MangistauMunaiGas".

    The embassy said in a statement that the expedition, among others, is to

    promote the cultural traditions of the people of Kazakhstan to other countries.

    After Kuala Lumpur the yacht will sail to Langkawi and then to Thailand, Sri

    Lanka, India and the United Arab Emirates.
