Leave with your supporters, says state chief

KUALA LUMPUR: Kedah chief Zamil Ibrahim (pic) has called for party president Datuk Zaid Ibrahim to resign and leave with his devoted supporters, stressing its members will not be fooled by his "selfserving" political motives.

On Thursday, Zaid had said that Kita would be dissolved.

His announcement shocked many members who accused him of acting without consulting the party's central executive committee.

Zamil said Kita members must ignore Zaid and continue with the party's struggle.

“I challenge him together with his loyal supporters to leave and join whichever party that invites them. I believe some Kita members are gullible. Are Kita members that foolish to follow a leader like this?" he said in a statement.

“I urge Kita members across Malaysia to be patient while we organise a plan to protect and bring Kita forward into the future. Forget Zaid. We must move forward."

Despite reports that Zaid had withdrawn his decision to dissolve the party, he has reiterated his desire to go ahead with plans to disband it at a central committee meeting this month.

Who is he to tell the members to follow Zaid when he leaves? Big brother? Gangster? The members have the right to either stay or go, whether loyal to Zaid or not. In fact, those members can ask Zamil to leave for good just by voting him out in their next BGM.

Even when Zaid Ibrahim is still the party's President, Zamil is so disloyal and even dare to ask him to leave. This shows what kind of person Zamil is. BN just love this kind of disloyal and without principle people. After all, they can band together to suck the country dry.
