Lii Hen subsidiary bags RM6.5m contract to build access bridge

KUALA LUMPUR (May 21): Lii Hen Industries Bhd’s 80% owned subsidiary has secured awarded a contract worth RM6.5 million to construct a bridge in Mersing, Johor.

The company said in a filing on Monday that its subsidiary, PPL Plantations Sdn Shd has awarded the contract to Pembinaan JDK Sdn Bhd.

The company said the project was to provide an access to the 3,473 hectares permanent reserve forest land for cultivating and planting of rubber trees.

It said the project was slated to commence on May 31, 2012 and to be completed within 12 months.
