KUALA LUMPUR, April 17 (Bernama) -- Wounded Lions X11 from Singapore avenged
their 0-1 defeat to Selangor PKNS last week by crushing the same side 5-0 in a
Super League match at the Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore to retain top spot.
The Lions XII, coached by former Singapore stalwart V. Sundramoorthy
accomplished their 11th win of the season from 17 matches to collect 36 points.
Last week the Lions XII suffered a shocking 0-1 defeat to Selangor PKNS.
Second placed Kelantan who have 31 points from 14 matches, kept pace with a
2-1 win over –Team while Terengganu retained third position despite a 1-1 draw
against Negeri Sembilan at the Paroi Stadium in Seremban.
Perak who despite fielding their new import from Cameroon, Albert Dominique
Ebosse Bodjongo could only manage a 2-2 draw against Sabah at the Perak Stadium.
Perak’s other import from Slovakia, Michal Kubala was the toast of his team
with a brace in the 34th and 90th minutes while both Sabah’s goals were scored
by Zainizam Marjan in the 45th and 60th minutes.

Meanwhile, Selangor, playing their first match at the refurbished Shah Alam
Stadium, beat coach less Johor FC 2-0 to move up to fourth spot in the table
