London most expensive city for summer stays

This summer, travelers will encounter the most expensive room rates in London (€233), the host city for the Olympic Games, followed by New York (€217) and Geneva (€215), according to a Trivago report published Monday.

In Tel Aviv, fourth most expensive in the ranking, the cost of a night's stay is €168. In fifth place is San Francisco, where tourists will find themselves spending an average of €166. Paris also places in the ten most expensive cities to stay this summer, with average rates of €146 putting it ninth.

On the other end of the scale, for more affordable vacations, travelers can head to Bangkok (€46), Kuala Lumpur (€48) and Sofia, Bulgaria (€52).
