In one of the most significant moments of its 40-year history, Malaysia Airlines was finally been inducted into the oneworld alliance as a full-fledged member on 1 February 2013.
As a member, the national carrier is required to decorate a number of aircrafts in the alliance's livery and the first was one of its 10 new Airbus A330-300s. The design features the word 'oneworld' in six-feet high blue letters along a white fuselage and the airline's standard tailfin. Another two aircrafts are expected to carry this new design in the coming months.
The airlines' first commercial flight as a member of the alliance - MH129 - departed Kuala Lumpur bound for Melbourne, Australia on 1 February at 10.15 a.m.
